Easy Rock Lick.

In this free guitar lessons post, I will give you a tab of an easy rock lick which is used by many rock guitarists. It's a movable lick and you can play it in any key. The lick is the following:

e---12p15--------------12p15--------
b-------------12--------------------12----
g---------------------------------------
d---------------------------------
a------------------------------------
e-----------------------------------

The above lick is in the key of E minor.

Play it continuously for a minute. Do it slowly, as speed is not important when you are first playing it. Use a metronome to mark your progress.

When you'll gradually build up your speed, you will notice that this lick sounds good.

You can create variations of this lick and you can check out the following example:

e---12p15------------12p15--------
b--------------13-----------------13----
g----------------------
d----------------------
a----------------------
e----------------------

You have to use your imagination and your musical soul to come up with your own licks.

You have to know one thing that most of the best rock licks are only three or four notes but these three or four notes pattern is played again and again which sounds cool. If you want to see a video, click on easy rock lick

These kind of easy rock licks sound good when they are played on higher frets.
